Do You Really Want A Deal?
When referring to your face, how big of a deal do you really want? A cosmetic dermatology procedure is not something to be considered lightly. Realistically speaking, most Kia prices will not achieve Mercedes results. But on the other hand, how much is too much? Let’s talk more.
Because of increasing competition within the vendors’ realm (such as Allergan, Medicis, etc.) and increasing competition of providers (e.g. plastic surgery is down, making injectable services more important for these providers) there are bargains to be found. Sometimes these are because the suppliers are partnering with offices to offer consumer incentives. My office does this frequently. Other times some offices simply want to undercut the competition. We never do this. So how do you know what is fair? Pick an office that you or some of your friends have confidence in and make a phone call. Ask about specials. Be wary of receptionists who say you “have to come in to get a price”. There should be published prices (at least somewhere) and if they are truly offering specials, then they obviously will want to share their special price. In addition, some companies (the vendors) may offer rebates for higher-volume offices. Ask about any of these and what the particular product or procedure can do for you. Be armed with information before you enter. Additionally, keep a list of questions you will want answered prior to your treatment and prior to getting out your pocketbook.
Finally, if you see prices advertised in an unfamiliar office that are too good to be true (or deviate too far from the norm), its probably best to keep looking. Do you really want to visit someone who has to continually undercut their prices?
Here’s to smart shopping!

Confidence & Self Esteem
Aren’t Economic Terms
I hear about the economy every day from folks receiving beauty treatments. It is interesting to hear the motives of the folks getting the treatments. They all have one common thread- Confidence and Self Esteem. I am really inspired to hear how each of them in different ways, have made adjustments. Yet, to a person, they all realize that the economy is temporary, and they can choose to participate or they can choose to look for the pleasure and blessings all around us. The financial status of my patients varies widely, like in any office, but the similarities are striking when it comes to who purchases what and why. I have found that people will not miss a mortgage payment to obtain their Botox or laser treatment, but they will skip going to restaurants so often in order to do it. The reason? As one patient put it: “Things are bad enough out there. If I don’t get this done (lips, eyes, you name it), then things are bad in the mirror too. It makes me feel better.”
Feeling Fabulous Is The Key
Have you ever had a real bad hair day and all you wanted to do was get back home before too many people saw you? With cosmetic treatments, it’s not that different. When you know you look fabulous, or at least rested and refreshed, you feel fabulous and have much more confidence about pretty much everything. Confidence in one area tends to spread to others. People look at you differently, you look at them differently, and think about this…they respond to you differently. Finding a new job, or even getting a promotion today is much more difficult than it was a few years ago. Of course you are going to wear your best business attire and be appropriately groomed. You are going to be aware of the company and have done your homework (if it is a new venture). However, the “edge” that you need might just be from the confidence that you have attained from erasing the years and looking better than ever. With that kind of attitude, you can’t lose!
I look forward to hearing from you.
